Lynx Trading Technologies is a comprehensive Modular Trading Solutions platform that provides traders with the tools they need to access the US Equity markets. I worked closely with their product experts to define the project's priorities and deliverables.

As the lead UI designer for Lynx's proprietary trading and data platform, I was responsible for developing and designing the user interface and design system. In addition, I was tasked with creating a new logo and brand identity that would effectively connect with the complex platform.

Given the platform's complexity, I needed to connect the brand identity to its functionality. This involved incorporating elements from the design system into the branding, such as enlarging specific components to emphasize their importance in the platform's functionality.

One key example was using chip components from the design system. These components were used to organize the home page layout, and their colors were carried over into the branding. Using elements from the design system in the branding created a cohesive look and feel across all aspects of the Lynx platform.

To achieve this level of consistency, I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the branding and design elements were seamlessly integrated into the platform. This involved extensive testing and iteration in making the user interface intuitive and easy to navigate.

Data visualization and the UI component hierarchy are essential to any trading platform, especially for Lynx Trading Technologies. As the lead UI designer for Lynx, I understood the importance of organizing and presenting data clearly and concisely for traders. The platform was designed to provide access to various trading and regulatory tools and services, requiring an efficient, easy-to-use interface.

One of the critical features I developed was a comprehensive side panel that displayed key information and enabled quick forecasting and calculations. This feature allows traders to quickly access essential information, make informed decisions, and stay ahead of the market. By prioritizing data and presenting it in an organized, intuitive manner, I provided traders with the tools they needed to succeed.

‍In addition to data visualization, I paid close attention to color coding and categorization in the UI. Traders must quickly identify and differentiate between various types of data and information. Using color-coding and categorization, I enhanced the user experience and enabled traders to interpret and analyze data quickly.

Designing a trading platform like Lynx requires a deep understanding of traders' needs and requirements. By prioritizing data visualization and hierarchy, along with color-coding and categorization, I created an efficient and effective trading platform that enabled traders to make informed decisions and succeed in a fast-paced, competitive market.
